(PRD Nationwide: Real Estate) Originally hired on a short term contract, to fix issues not resolved by the previous network management company. PRD has grown to 3 server/35 workstation environment encompassing windows xp, SBS  2003, Redhat Linux. 

 

(NTICN: government liaison) Small site of 5 workstations, SBS 2003 server, FreeBSD Spam/AV/Firewall Server.  Custom Built SQL/.NET Database.

 

(NB Communications: Communications and Data Cabling)  .  Encompassing, 13 workstations,  2003 x64 Terminal Server, 2003 AD Server, FreeBSD Spam/AV Server.

Key contributions:

 

• (Health) Assisted in migration of rolling citrix farm to 2003 based XPs.

 

• Designed current SOE based on windows XP service pack 2, utilising Microsoft remote installation services and distributed file system to deploy across a variety of tier one hardware, Toshiba, IBM and Dell. Application’s are packaged with Wise package studio and distributed using group policy and active directory and active directory sites and services.

 

• Implemented centralised print model for 150 printers for remote sites to reduce network load on citrix farm and assist with future upgrades.

 

• Currently re-designing 2003 Active directory from a mixed organisational to a geographical model. To tie in with domain controller deployment and remote sites.

 

• Configured exchange 2003 for mobile access over GPRS through DMZ.

Key contributions:

 

• (Health) Contracted to Danila Dilba Health Services, to evaluate existing infrastructure.  Developed 5 year strategy to upgrade services to consolidated location.  Implementation of CSG’s first 2 Node Cluster, Hitachi Fibre Channel SAN (2 node cluster incorporated Exchange 2003 (Mail marshal for Exchange) / SQL 2000 active - active cluster configuration). Scripted Configuration and automation of Desktop SOE rollout.  Configuration and user support of citrix SOE and provided group training for users prior to roll-out.

 

• (Mining) Contracted to Ranger Uranium mine, Assisted in site wide upgrade of hardware and NT infrastructure to windows 2000 and XP.  Ranger mines network consists of over 27 servers and 250 workstations across 3 sites. Whilst there I proactively redesigned there helpdesk structure and implemented a custom helpdesk portal to their existing intranet.  This resulted in faster response times for problems, accurate time reporting, efficient use of staff.  Administration of windows 2000 network, troubleshooting authentication of UNIX user accounts with citrix server farm.

 

• (Construction) Assisted with design and upgrade of Nortuss SUN Server / Windows based network. Administration of solaris user account’s and custom industry terminal applications. Troubleshooting UNIX scripts for custom terminal applications, user support and training on new system.

 

• (ISP) Administration of CSG’s exchange 2003 server network, developed strategy to optimise security, Including exchange server 2003 Front-End inside DMZ, Back-End CSG internal network. Administration and trouble shooting of internal Windows 2003 network.  Administration of radius, exchange 2003 users accounts.  Support and Administration of Citrix ASP network for CSG Clients. Configuration of ASP customer Desktop SOE, with a wide variety of custom applications.

 

• (Real Estate)  Deployment and administration of Windows 2003 / Exchange 2003 network, Developed strategy to migrate users from ASP environment to in-house environment whilst live. Consolidated linux firewall / application server to new netwo
